Passions Spiele Oberammergau 2020
The story of the games begins in 1633. In the midst of the 30-year war, after months of suffering from the plague, the Oberammergauers vowed to perform every 10 years the game of the suffering, dying and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. Pentecost 1634 they fulfilled the promise for the first time. In 2020 the impressive games will be performed for the 42nd time. More than 2000 participants bring the story to life in a five-hour performance. From May 16th to October 4th 2020 the 42nd Passion Play will take place in Oberammergau.
